I've been in lots of strange locations / positions, but my current circumstance is rather exotic. I am typing this inside a cell in a 16th century convent (Do Bom Jesus) in rolling rural countryside a few miles outside Evora in central Portugal. The nuns have long departed, and my cell is small, though nicely decorated in traditional Alentejo (across the Tagus) style. I'll be here two nights in meditation and frenzied preparation of a seminar / workshop for the agriculture faculty of the university of Evora.
Mind you, I spent a long time yesterday inside the former Jerónimos monastery in Lisbon yesterday - the subject of another post to come.
