Readers will recall my interest in astronomy, and yesterday evening East Coast Australians witnessed a partial eclipse of the moon, peaking at c. 9.30 when half the moon was obscured. Alas, the accompanying picture was not taken by me as I was too engrossed in an episode of Midsomer Murders. In fact, I clean forgot about the event until this morning. Pity that.

Here in England the overwhelming interest has been firstly the last in the current series of Dr Who and secondly a most unsatisfactory football result wherein the old rivals Germany gave England a thrashing!
Richard.
I know about Dr Who as we've been watching it ourselves with interest - including the 15 minutes at the end where they explain how the series was made and about the roadshow done by key members of the cast.
