I get the impression that grand-son Max maybe considering applying for a pilot's licence! He staying with us for a couple of weeks or so over the summer holidays and is becoming a firm fixture at the local skate park. There's nothing intrinsically wrong with the and he's made some firm friends amongst local of his age. Either Dot or I accompany him and observe what's going on, but he's close to going solo!
I've noticed that his skills with a simple scooter have advanced rapidly and he now seems to spend an extraordinary amount of time in the air - with no ground in contact with his feet or tyres and only hard concrete to fall upon in case of a mishap. But, I haven't seen a mishap yet and he's highly accomplished at manoeuvring his equipment in mid-air. These photos tell the story ... and incidentally point to some stormy weather we've just been having - a bit like parts of the UK. However, our rainfall comes with warm temperatures.
