It must have been last Sunday that we arrived in Lutton, near Plympton and home to Joanna and Martin Cooper and their kids Lucie and Hollie - Max's cousins. They have met before and get on very well together, so there was electric in the air as we arrived. After the usual pleasantries, we decided to go for a walk up on to the fringes of Dartmoor - one of my favourite stalking grounds.
We took a route I had not travelled before and soon the kids were interacting robustly, with Max leading Lucie on or vice versa and both affecting Hollie's movements. They swung on rope, climbed trees, ran across open moorland, and down / up little gullies, always it seems trying to distance themselves from the accompanying party of grown-ups: antiquarian me, Rebecca and Joanna.
Here are a few pictures of the babes in action, with apologies to Lucie and Hollie since I seem to have taken more photos of Max.
