Between Broulee and the village of Mogo there's an excellent Zoo which displays a phalanx of interesting animals in excellent surroundings. In fact, the experience was delightful and I can thoroughly recommend Mogo Zoo. Again, let the pictures tell the story, starting with some cute Meerkats, which Ella loved, having fun.
There were plenty of different varieties of chimps, along with some elderly tortoises.
Flynn had heaps of fun feeding deer.
And the zoo had both white and standard lions, along with giraffe, ostriches, zebra and rhinos ... all in expansive paddocks.
We were entertained by a family of bonobos ... including a baby ... all wandering free-range on an island. They seem to have presents wrapped in Christmas-paper which they were keen to open and inspect the contents.
To save them embarrassment, I present this picture of a lioness and here husband. Shortly after this picture was taken, they copulated in public and my guess is that the zoo will have some lion cubs in just over three months from now. The gestation period is about 105 days.
Here we find a cheetah, leopard, red pandas and some more, flaked out, lions. There was also a tiger, but one that was difficult to spot and photograph.
All the animals seemed well-kept and content.
