Night Lights

After our Cheung Chau trip we turned up at waterfront docks the same evening for a night cruise. This time we sought to admire the the city lights after dark and it was a splendid occasion as you'll see shortly. Here's our ferry vessel in the encroaching gloom and the first nearby scenes as we left the dock.

This is a visual post and I don't have much to say, except for the obvious. The myriad of tall buildings - offices especially - are often bathed in intricate multi-coloured lighting displays, or name the company owning them. Some sell messages - like the one below advertising a music  show, with the message rising from bottom to top repeatedly. Others show corporate logos.

These picture are but a small sample of the images I took, but you'd have to agree that the HK waterfront is highly impressive.

Towards the end of our cruise we encountered a laser light show spouting from the tops of several buildings. This too was particularly beautiful and, what cannot be seen from the photos, was their constantly changing images.

And, I'll conclude this post with a multi-coloured slogan atop a mainland office block:

Let's Stand Together!

It was an inspiring night out.
